Car carrier catches fire at Incheon Port, South Korea

A Panama-hailed auto bearer burst into flames Monday while docked at the Port of Incheon in South Korea. 

Authorities said the fire broke out at around 9:40 a.m. nearby time in the payload territory of the vehicle transporter, which was stacked with around 2,000 vehicles headed for Libya at the time. 

The ship has been affirmed as the 52,000-ton, 200-meter-long Auto Banner. 

The fire is accepted to have begun when a motor in one of the vehicles being transported overheated, starting a discharge which spread to different vehicles. 

Every one of the 28 group individuals emptied the ship without damage. 

Authorities said the ship touched base in Incheon from the United States on Saturday and was planned to leave for Libya on Tuesday.
