World’s 1st Converted FLNG "Floating Liquefied Natural Gas" Vessel Departs Keppel Shipyard


The Owner of LNG carriers Golar LNG announces today that Hilli,the world’s 1st Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) vessel, departed Keppel Shipyard.  Following three years of conversion work at Keppel, the vessel, designed for a liquefaction capacity of about 2.4 million tons of LNG per year, was named on July 2, 2017. 

Hilli Episeyo was converted from a 1975-built Moss LNG carrier with a storage capacity of 125,000 cubic meters.Hilli Episeyo is currently expected to leave Singapore between October 15 and October 20.
